Eastbourne Drug Kingpin Busted in Major Crackdown
Two men tied to a drug trafficking ring stretching from North West London to Eastbourne have been sentenced after a major police probe. The bust exposes a sprawling drug network and lands the ringleaders behind bars.
Mastermind and Local Dealer Nabbed
Ahmet Arslan, 30, of Clandon Gardens, London, was revealed as the criminal brain behind seven drug lines. The Sussex Police Project ADDER team teamed up with the Met’s Operation Orochi to take down Arslan’s sophisticated setup. He ran the entire operation—controlling couriers, managing finances, and directing drug dealing from London.
On the Eastbourne side, Radovan Vukmir, 42, from Seaside Road, handled the local drug distribution for Arslan. Police swooped in July 2023, simultaneously raiding properties in Eastbourne and London. Both men were arrested, and cops seized phone evidence crucial to the case.
Judge Deals Heavy Sentences at Lewes Crown Court
At Lewes Crown Court, Arslan was handed a hefty 173-week prison term, reflecting his chief role in the ring. Vukmir, considered less involved and unaware of the full scope, received a lighter sentence: 101 weeks, suspended for 24 months.
The crackdown sends a clear message to county lines dealers operating across regions: police will track you down and throw the book at you.
