Hawk Jet Makes Emergency Landing in Cornwall Field – Two Men Injured

Chaos unfolded this morning when a Hawk jet from Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose crash-landed in a Cornish field during a training exercise.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Police were alerted at 9:40am after the aircraft was spotted touching down unexpectedly. Two men on board were treated on-site before being airlifted to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are stable and not life-threatening.

Multi-Agency Response Secures Incident

The Coastguard, Police, Ambulance, Fire crews, and Royal Navy swiftly joined forces to contain and secure the area. Chief Inspector Pete Thomas praised the rapid response, describing the scene as “complex” and confirming emergency teams have managed it effectively throughout the day.

“My thanks go to those who responded so rapidly this morning and who have worked together effectively to progress the investigation,” said Thomas. “We would ask the public to keep their distance as enquiries continue.”

Investigation Underway

Police will maintain a presence on site for the duration, before officially handing over the probe to the Royal Navy. Locals are urged to steer clear of the area while investigators work to piece together what went wrong.
