Tragedy at Putney Leisure Centre: 10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Collapse
A 10-year-old girl was rushed to hospital from Putney Leisure Centre on Tuesday afternoon (April 19) after suddenly falling ill. Despite emergency efforts, she tragically died shortly after arrival.
Police Launch Investigation into Unexplained Death
The girl’s family has been informed, and police have sealed off a crime scene as they investigate the circumstances surrounding her sudden death. Officers are treating the case as unexplained.
“A ten-year-old girl was reported to be in cardiac arrest,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said. “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and administered emergency first aid. The child was taken to hospital where she sadly died a short while later. Next of kin are being informed. The death is being treated as unexplained. A forensic scene is in place.”
Leisure Centre Pays Tribute
A spokesperson for Putney Leisure Centre said: “Unfortunately at the leisure centre yesterday a girl became unwell. She was taken to hospital and we later found out she died. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.”
