16-Year-Old Boy Left Fighting for Life After Streatham Hit-and-Run Crash
Detectives are desperate to find witnesses after a shocking collision in Streatham left a 16-year-old cyclist with life-threatening injuries.
Horror Crash on Streatham High Road
Police were called to Streatham High Road at 11.17pm on Friday, 8 May, following a serious collision involving a cyclist.
Officers arrived to find the teenager critically injured. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
Hit, Then Struck Again by Second Car
Investigators believe the boy was cycling along the High Road when he was first hit by one car, then seconds later struck by a second vehicle driving close behind.
Shockingly, the drivers of both cars fled the scene without stopping.
Two Men Arrested – Still Questions Remain
Police tracked down and arrested two men in their 20s at separate locations nearby. Both remain in custody at south London police stations.
It’s not believed the men knew each other. Enquiries continue as detectives try to piece together the full circumstances.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
The Roads and Transport Policing Command is appealing for witnesses and calling on anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
