Police Hunt Witnesses After Bizarre Bike Robbery in Sussex
Sussex Police are on the case after a cyclist was rocked by a robbery on King Edward Parade near Bolsover Road.
Green Van Sparks Drama
The drama unfolded at 10:30am on Wednesday, 24 August. A cyclist was cruising along King Edward Parade when a green Volkswagen Caddy zoomed past and then parked nearby. The rider approached the motorist, sparking a heated verbal row.
Camera Snatched in Shocking Clash
During the scuffle, the suspect allegedly ripped a camera straight off the victim’s bike. The situation briefly turned physical but was quickly calmed by passers-by. The suspect then bolted, leaving the cyclist stunned and missing precious camera gear.
Arrest Made, Police Seek Eyewitnesses
Officers have arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He’s now on bail as the probe continues. Cops are urging anyone who saw what went down, or has CCTV or mobile footage, to step forward.
