Man Stabbed in East London Late Sunday

Chaos erupted on Watney Street, East London, late Sunday evening after a man was stabbed. Police paramedics and London Air Ambulance doctors rushed to the scene to treat the victim.

Emergency Teams Rush To Scene

Police arrived first and administered lifesaving first aid before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived. The 19-year-old victim was quickly taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Crime Scene Locks Down Streets

A major police cordon has been set up, closing off large parts of Martha Street, Sutton Street, and Watney Street. Officers are probing the stabbing/" title="Stabbing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">stabbing, but no arrests have been made yet.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers dealt with a stabbing in Cornwall Street / Watney Street at 10:30pm last night. A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue. If you can help, please contact 101 quoting CAD8410/13June.”

Residents are urged to come forward with any information to assist the investigation.
