Four mopeds, one botched theft attempt

At 8:11pm on Tuesday, August 16, four riders on two mopeds tried to snatch another moped on Hubert Walter Drive. Their grab was cut short when they were spotted and forced to flee the scene.

Wild getaway ends in Penenden Heath

The gang sped off, leading police on a fast chase that ended in Penenden Heath. One suspect was tracked by patrols all the way to The Running Horse roundabout and Blue Bell Hill.

Dangerous stunt risks lives

In a reckless move, the moped rider took the roundabout the wrong way, heading straight into oncoming traffic. Fortunately, no collisions have been reported so far.

Police hunt for witnesses and dashcam footage

Kent Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward. If you witnessed the incident, call 01622 604100 quoting reference 46/162337/22.
