Guinea Pig Heist Shocks Animal Charity Near New Ash Green!

Thieves Target Belgian Guinea Pigs

Officers have released CCTV images after five guinea pigs were snatched from an animal charity in Butchers Lane, New Ash Green. The daylight robbery occurred around 10.20pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Four Rescued, One Still Missing

Thanks to quick action, four of the stolen guinea pigs were found abandoned in a park near Woodland Avenue, Hartley the very next day. But one little fellow is still missing, sparking alarm among charity volunteers.

Charity Pleads for Help

Inspector Matt Atkinson of the Sevenoaks Community Safety Unit said: “This charity is run by volunteers who care for animals that have been mistreated or can no longer be kept by their owners. It’s devastating that these innocent creatures suffer yet again at the hands of thieves.”

He added, “We’ve released images of two men who might help with our investigation. Residents and dog walkers are urged to keep an eye out for the missing guinea pig.”
