Woman in 80s Seriously Injured After Hythe Bus Crash
Tragedy on Prospect Road
An elderly woman in her 80s remains in a serious condition after being struck by a bus in Hythe, Kent. The crash happened just before 3pm on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, on Prospect Road.
The bus was travelling east between Sun Lane and Douglas Avenue when it hit the pedestrian. Emergency crews, including the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The woman was airlifted to a London hospital where she is currently receiving treatment. Her family have been informed.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are especially eager to speak to passengers who were on the bus but left before officers arrived.
