Double Fatal Crash on A4421: Police Launch Appeal
Tragedy struck on Saturday night when a horror smash claimed two lives on the A4421 near Newton Purcell. A black Vauxhall Insignia collided head-on with a bus heading the opposite way. The driver, 42, and front-seat passenger, 34, died instantly at the scene.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The crash happened at around 8:45pm as the Vauxhall was driving towards Bicester. Emergency services rushed to the scene but could not save the two victims. The bus driver suffered minor injuries and is recovering.
Police Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers from Bicester Howes Lane police station are investigating and have closed the road temporarily. It has now reopened. PC Neil Bowker said:
“This was a tragic incident during which two people sadly died at the scene. I am appealing for any witnesses to come forward. If you used the A4421 at the time or have dash-cam footage, please check your recordings and contact us. Any information could be vital.”
