London Police Storm South London in Major Crime Crackdown

On Tuesday morning, 24 November, the Met’s Specialist Crime Command launched a series of raids across south London, making multiple arrests over drugs, violence, and firearms offences.

Raids Hit Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham

Targeting violent crime hotspots, officers executed warrants in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham after a lengthy investigation. The operation aimed to clamp down on gun crime and drug supply in the area.

Three Men Nabbed Over Herne Hill Shooting

A 25-year-old man was arrested at a Gandolfi Street address in SE15. He faces charges of attempted murder linked to a non-fatal shooting in Herne Hill on 10 September. He’s also suspected of supplying class B drugs and unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Two other men, aged 29 and 20, were also arrested at Denmark Hill Estate, SE5, on attempted murder charges related to the same shooting. All three are now in custody.

Detective Urges Public to Help Fight Violent Crime

“Tragically this past weekend has seen two people lose their lives and another seriously injured in a shooting in east London,” said Detective Inspector Adam Seton, Specialist Crime South Proactive Syndicates.

“We are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice and make our communities safer. We need the public’s help with any info on firearms possession or violent offenders to build strong cases and remove dangerous individuals from our streets.”
