Fatal Accident Shuts Down Busy Road
An 89-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on Roman Way, Crayford, early this month. The smash happened just after 1pm on January 3, sparking a rapid response from Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics.
A part of the one-way road near the Sainsbury’s entrance, where it splits into three lanes, was sealed off while emergency crews worked. The elderly victim was rushed to a major trauma centre but sadly later died from his injuries.
