Firefighters from Fareham, Portchester, and Southsea rushed to tackle a blaze at The Crown pub in Fareham early this morning. Crews from three stations were quickly mobilised to the scene.

Just before 8am on Saturday, emergency services were called after smoke was spotted billowing from the pub’s basement. Luckily, the fire, which started in the cellar, was already out by the time firefighters arrived.

Crews Hunt Hidden Flames

Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to scour the basement for any hidden hotspots. They also deployed fans to clear thick smoke from the smoke-logged cellar, ensuring the fire didn’t reignite.

The Crown Pub: Open for Business

Despite the early morning drama, The Crown pub remains open and serving customers as usual. The quick response from the fire crews ensured minimal disruption for locals and visitors.
