Chaos erupted on Wych Elm Road, Hornchurch, on Wednesday, 9 October, when CS gas was released around 1:13pm. Police and the London Ambulance Service" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after urgent reports of the chemical irritant.
Seven Treated, No Serious Injuries
The emergency crews treated one adult and six teenagers exposed to the gas. Thankfully, no life-changing or life-threatening injuries were reported. All seven were assessed and discharged at the scene.
“We were called at 1:20 pm today to reports of an incident in Wych Elm Road, Hornchurch. Our first crew arrived within four minutes. We treated one adult and six teenagers before discharging them at the scene,” confirmed a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Investigation Underway
The Met Police are probing how the CS gas was deployed in the area. Officers remain on alert, and authorities urge the public to stay cautious. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
