Ceiling Collapses at Rosemead Prep School
A ceiling gave way on the second floor of Rosemead Prep School, sparking chaos this morning.
Minor Injuries and Hospital Visits
Between 15 and 20 people suffered minor injuries and were treated on the scene. Several children were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance crews.
Swift Evacuation and Full Search
All children and staff were safely evacuated. Firefighters conducted a thorough search and confirmed everyone was accounted for.
Specialist Rescue Team Called In
An Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team was deployed to ensure the building posed no further collapse risk. Fire crews from West Norwood and Brixton stations handled the emergency.
The Brigade was alerted at 9:22am and wrapped up the operation by 11:50am.
