Murder probe after teenager shot in uk/where/haringey/">Haringey
A murder investigation has been launched in Haringey after a teenager was fatally shot in Wood Green. Police in Haringey were called to Hollywood Green, High Road, N22 at 00:32hrs on Thursday, 8 March following reports of a shooting. Armed police attended along with London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found a 19-year-old man suffering from a gun shot injury. He was taken by LAS to a central London hospital where he died a short while later. His next-of-kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Formal identification awaits. The Homicide and Major Crime Command are now investigating. There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries continue. A crime scene remains in place. Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks said: “At this early stage, we’re trying to piece together exactly what has happened. However we believed two people made off on a moped shortly after the incident and this is one line of enquiry that we’re actively pursuing.
