Detectives from the Metropolitan Police swooped in Croydon early Friday morning, March 7, 2025, to arrest a 32-year-old suspect on suspicion of murder. The man remains in police custody as officers dig deeper into the case.
What Happened to Lathaniel?
Lathaniel Burrell, a local from Stockwell, was tragically shot dead on Paradise Road, SW4, just after 3:20 PM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Despite frantic efforts by London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation, said: “Our detectives are working hard to piece together the events of Tuesday afternoon and identify those responsible for killing Lathaniel. We continue to appeal for anyone with information about Lathaniel’s murder to please come forward and speak to us.”
