A woman in her 80s remains in a serious condition after being hit by a bus in <a href="/where/<a href="/where/Hythe. kent-Englandengland/”>kent-england/”>Kent Police are hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage to <a href="/where/<a href="/where/Piecepiece together what happened.
Crash Details
The collision occurred just before 3pm on Wednesday 1 October 2025 on england/<a href="/where/<a href="/where/Prospectprospect/”>england/<a href="/where/Prospect Road. A bus travelling east between Sun <a href="/where/<a href="/where/Lane and <a href="/where/<a href="/where/Douglas Avenue struck the elderly pedestrian. Emergency crews, including the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The woman was airlifted to a <a href="/where/<a href="/where/London hospital, where she is still receiving treatment. Her family have been informed.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Detectives from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They’re especially keen to hear from passengers who were on the bus but left before officers arrived.
