Three Cars Torched in Queens Road Blaze – Suspect Arrested
Kent Police rushed to the scene after three cars went up in flames on Queens Road late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, July 18-19, 2023.
Fires Put Out with No Injuries
Firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service quickly doused the suspicious blazes. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the fires.
Suspect Nabbed Hours Later
Following a swift police inquiry, 44-year-old Jonathan Smith from Chilton Place, Ash, was arrested early the next morning. He now faces three counts of arson.
Court Dates Set
Smith appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on July 20 and was remanded in custody. He is due back in court at Canterbury Crown Court on August 21.
