Teen Shot Dead in Hornsey Rise Gardens

Police rushed to Hornsey Rise Gardens, N19, at 4.26pm on Tuesday, June 8, after reports of gunfire. Emergency crews, including London’s Air Ambulance, found 19-year-old Taylor Cox from Barnet with fatal gunshot wounds.

Taylor was rushed to hospital but was later declared dead. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Murder Probe Underway

The Met’s Specialist Crime (Homicide) team is leading the investigation. On Saturday, June 12, they arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a London police station.

Meanwhile, another 19-year-old appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on June 10, charged with possession of an offensive weapon. Police confirmed this arrest is unrelated to the murder.
