Man Dies After Brutal Lambeth Assault

Detectives are hunting for answers after a man seriously beaten in Lambeth has died from his injuries. The violent attack took place in Albert Square, SW8, on Thursday, 31 May.

Fierce Fight Ends in Tragedy

Police were called at around 5:50pm to reports of two men fighting. Officers and paramedics found a 52-year-old man with severe facial injuries. He was airlifted to a central London hospital, where he remained in critical condition for weeks before passing away on Thursday, 14 June.

Victim Identified as Mark Tremain

Though not formally ID’d, the victim has been named by family as Mark Tremain, a local resident of Albert Square. A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been bailed pending further investigations.

Police Plea: Help Solve This Shocking Case

Detective Chief Inspector John Massey said: “Sadly, Mr Tremain has now died. We need the public’s help to understand all the circumstances that led to his death. Any witnesses or anyone with information should come forward. Your tip could be vital.”
