Kent Men Held After Bus Crash on Isle of Wight
Late-Night Smash in Ventnor
Two men from Kent were arrested after a Ford Focus crashed into a double-decker bus on the Isle of Wight late Sunday night. The collision happened on Leeson Road at around 11:05pm.
Driver Swerves Into Bus, Then Flees
The Ford was heading down Leeson Road when it suddenly swerved into the driver’s side of a Southern Vectis double-decker. Shockingly, both the driver and passenger fled the scene immediately.
No Injuries, But Police Step In
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. Hampshire Constabulary quickly responded and arrested a 25-year-old and a 27-year-old, both from Gillingham, Kent.
The pair face suspicion of drink-driving and possession of a Class B drug. They remain in custody as investigations continue.
