Dorset Police received a report at 5.20pm on Friday, March 31, 2023, regarding a body found in the area.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
No Suspicious Circumstances
The death is not being treated as suspicious. HM Coroner has been informed and is now involved in the case.
Missing Man Identified to Family
Police have informed the next of kin of 54-year-old Steven Clarke from Wareham. He had been missing since Thursday, January 26, 2023. Officers are providing full support to the family during this difficult time.
Chief Superintendent Jared Parkin of Dorset Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Steven Clarke, and they will be kept fully updated as a formal identification process now takes place.”
