Greggs Cracks Gatwick: First Airport Store Landing This Summer
Prepare your taste buds, Gatwick! The UK’s beloved Greggs bakery is making its debut at London Gatwick Airport this summer. The iconic sausage roll haven will open its very first airport outlet in the South Terminal arrivals.
What’s on the Menu?
Passengers, airport staff, and commuters can grab all the Greggs classics, including the famed Sausage Roll, Vegan Sausage Roll, and Steak Bake. That’s not all – breakfast bites, sandwiches, salads, sweet treats, and Fairtrade coffee will also be on offer to fuel your journey.
Prime Spot for Coffee & Quick Bites
Pam McCarthy, Gatwick Airport’s Director of Retail, gushed, “Greggs will be a fantastic addition to the South Terminal at Gatwick, providing arriving passengers with a great taste of Britain, or a warm ‘welcome home.’”
McCarthy added, “Located directly opposite the arrivals gates and close to the refurbished Gatwick Airport train station, it’s the perfect pitstop for commuters grabbing a coffee or breakfast, or those waiting to greet loved ones.”
Jobs and Convenience for the Local Area
Greggs’ Retail Operations Director Gillian Long said, “We’re excited to open at Gatwick’s South Terminal, bringing local jobs and a modern, convenient spot for customers to enjoy their favourite food.”
This marks the first new food and drink outlet launching at Gatwick Airport in 2023, promising a tasty boost for travellers and airport workers alike.
