UK COVID Death Toll Surges Past 7,000
The grim milestone has been reached. As of 9am on April 8, over 282,000 coronavirus tests have been completed across the UK.
More Than 60,000 Confirmed Cases
Out of 232,708 people tested, 60,733 have come back positive for COVID-19. On April 7 alone, 14,682 tests were carried out.
Tragic Toll in Hospitals
As of 5pm on April 7, 7,097 patients who tested positive and were hospitalised have died. The UK continues to battle the deadly virus with rising infection and death rates.
