Cold-Blooded Killer Convicted: Khallid Hogan Found Guilty of Murdering Abdullahi Mohamoud

Khallid Hogan, 20, of Enfield’s Manor Court, was convicted of murdering Abdullahi Mohamoud following a five-week Old Bailey trial. Sentencing is set for Monday, 4 October.

Gunman Opens Fire in Fast Food Restaurant

On 19 March 2020, Abdullahi Mohamoud was waiting for food at a fast food joint on Hertford Road, Enfield, when Hogan barged in and sprayed bullets at him.

Hogan fired four shots inside but missed his target and others nearby. Abdullahi tried to escape through a back door into a yard of garages.

As Abdullahi climbed a concrete wall, Hogan fired again—this time hitting him in the head. Abdullahi collapsed and later died in hospital.

Met Police Crack the Case with CCTV and Phone Data

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command swiftly launched a homicide investigation. They used CCTV and mobile phone records to nail Hogan, who’d arrived as a passenger in a car shortly after Abdullahi.

Prosecutors said Hogan was tipped off about Abdullahi’s location and came armed to finish the job.

Forensic experts matched bullet casings to a 9mm Makarov pistol believed to be Hogan’s weapon.

Alibi Plot Backfires: Friend Also Guilty

Trying to dodge blame, Hogan kept his friend Alex Weekes on the phone during the shooting to create an alibi. Weekes, 20, was arrested, charged, and convicted of perverting the course of justice.

Hogan himself gave a ‘no comment’ interview after his arrest on 11 May.

Detective Commander Vows Justice

“Hogan carried out a cold-blooded and premeditated attack on Abdullahi Mohamoud, shooting at him at least five times. It was extremely fortunate that nobody else was injured in this incident,” said Detective Chief Inspector Claire Hine.

“Thanks to the tireless work of my team, Hogan’s movements were pieced together, leading to his conviction. Violence like this won’t be tolerated on London’s streets — officers work round the clock to bring offenders to justice swiftly.”
