A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of his 75-year-old father in Putney. Rory Talbot, from Mossbury Road, Wandsworth, was arrested and charged on Saturday, 25 January, in connection with the death of his father, Mark Talbot.
The incident occurred on Friday, 24 January, when police were called at 3.36am to an address on Deodar Road, SW15, after reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived at the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated Mr. Talbot for his injuries. Despite their best efforts, Mark Talbot was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rory Talbot has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 January.
Mark Talbot’s family has expressed their grief in a statement, saying, “We are grateful for the support provided by police, our neighbours, and others. We ask that our privacy is respected while we come to terms with the tragic loss of a highly respected member of the community.”
