A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Yeray Sanchez-Morales, also 17, making him the fifth person to be charged in connection with the fatal stabbing on england/old-kent-england/”>kent-road/”>Old Kent Road.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces charges of murder, grievous bodily harm, and possession of a bladed article. He is scheduled to appear at %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 11 September.

Incident Details
Police were alerted to Old Kent Road SE1 at 22:47hrs on %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%, 27 August, by the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing. At the scene, two boys, both 17, were found with stab wounds.
Yeray was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition but sadly died on Wednesday, 3 September. The other boy has since been discharged from hospital.
Previous Arrests
Four other boys have been charged in connection with this incident. On Thursday, 4 September, a 15-year-old boy was charged with murder, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon. A separate 16-year-old boy was arrested on Friday, 5 September, for the same offences and charged on Saturday, 6 September. On Sunday, 7 September, two 17-year-olds were arrested and charged with the same offences.

The 15-year-old appeared at the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%%, while the other four appeared at %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% Magistrates' Court on Monday, 8 September.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred outside a busy McDonald’s on Old Kent Road. They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was driving in the area and may have dash %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%%cam footage.
