Ten people charged over German Student attack in Canterbury city centre
Ten people have been charged following an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate into a serious assault in Canterbury city centre. Officers were called to Rose Lane during the evening of Thursday 6 June 2019 to reports a teenage boy had been assaulted. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital. The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and violent disorder against the following ten people on Tuesday 3 December 2019: · George Potter, 18, of Eaton Place, Margate. ·(cannabis). ·. He was also charged with theft of a screwdriver and stanley knife from a shop in addition to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. · A 17-year-old boy from Canterbury. ·. He was also charged with theft of a screwdriver and a stanley knife from a shop, and possession of a controlled drug (cannabis). ·. ·
