Life for Man Who Killed Marvin Dickson Found Rotting in Bathtub

Dante Forrest, 36, jailed for life with a minimum of 22 years after grisly murder of 40-year-old Marvin Dickson whose decomposed body was found in a Haringey flat.

Frozen in Time: Shocking Scene Discovered

Police busted open a boarded-up flat on Moselle Avenue, Haringey, after neighbours reported a foul stench on 20 September 2024. Inside, they found Marvin’s decomposed body in the bathtub, dead for around ten days.

No forced entry was found, meaning the killer had access and locked up to hide the crime.

DNA and CCTV Nail Killer

Met Police used Marvin’s blood on a pizza box to catch Forrest. CCTV footage showed Marvin alive with Forrest just days before the murder, even spotted wearing Marvin’s distinctive purple, blue and white trainers after the death — trainers that were never found.

Forensic evidence tied Forrest directly to the crime scene, including blood stains on a shirt and pizza box that sealed his fate.

Family’s Pain and Detective’s Praise

“While we are grateful that justice has been delivered, no verdict can bring him back or ease the sadness we carry every day. Marvin will forever be loved, missed, and remembered,” said Marvin’s family.

Detective Inspector Mark Johnson said: “This sentence brings a measure of closure. Marvin’s family has shown immense strength throughout this investigation.”

The Gruesome Facts

  • Marvin suffered multiple injuries — including head and face fractures and several stab wounds.
  • Last seen alive collecting pizza with Forrest on CCTV.
  • Forrest arrested on 25 September, two days after his trainers appeared on camera.

Dante Forrest was convicted at the Old Bailey on 13 November 2024 and now faces at least 22 years behind bars. Justice served for Marvin Dickson.
