Emergency services were called late on Wednesday night to Broomhill.Road in Redbridge East London following reports that a stabbing has taken, place.

A police cordon remains in place whilst officers carry out their investigation.

Locals have been advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative location

The Met police spokesman said :

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.50pm on Wednesday, 12 April to reports of a male stabbed on Broomhill Road in Ilford.

Officers attended and found a 17-year-old injured. He was taken to the hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

At this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
