Kent Police is appealing to the public for witnesses after an attempted rape incident occurred on Friday, October 13, 2023, in the vicinity of Jeffery Street and Arden Street. Authorities have reported that a man approached a woman from behind between the hours of 01.00 and 02.00 BST prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

The suspect, described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, of medium build, with black hair and a beard, was seen wearing a black hooded top and trousers at the time of the incident. Kent Police’s Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Kath Way, assured residents that every effort was being made to investigate the matter thoroughly.
