Three Thugs Locked Up After Violent Raid on Vulnerable Victim’s Home

Three individuals have been sentenced to prison after orchestrating a violent raid on the home of a vulnerable victim, leaving him traumatized and his property ransacked.

Luke Johnson, Brody Lower, and Callum Wright-McNee were behind bars following their roles in storming into the victim’s residence armed with weapons, Nottingham Crown Court heard.

The incident, which occurred on November 6, 2022, in Lenton, saw the trio forcefully enter the victim’s home after he refused them entry through the front door. Armed with a knife and a spade, they subjected the victim to threats and violence, ultimately locking him in a hallway cupboard to prevent his escape.

Even when the victim managed to flee into the street, the assailants pursued him, assaulting him and bringing him back inside. During the ordeal, the offenders also destroyed property, smashing two televisions, and stealing two mobile phones and power tools.

Luke Johnson, 20, of Trowell Road, Nottingham, received the most severe sentence, being sent to a young offenders’ institution for five years after pleading guilty to robbery, theft, burglary, and affray.

Brody Lower, 19, of Harold Avenue, Heanor, Derbyshire, and Callum Wright-McNee, 19, of Ascot Road, Nottingham, were both sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary and affray.

Detective Constable Nicola Bingham-Ward of Nottinghamshire Police condemned the actions of the offenders, describing the incident as an “appalling invasion” of the victim’s home. She praised the victim for his bravery throughout the investigation and expressed hope that the sentences handed down by the judge would provide reassurance to both him and the wider community.

The sentencing sends a clear message that such violent and intrusive behavior will not be tolerated, with law enforcement committed to thorough investigations to bring perpetrators to justice.
