British Transport Police (BTP) detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to speak to following a sexual assault on a teenage boy travelling between Worthing and Durrington-on-Sea.
The assault took place on Friday, 7 March 2025, during the 7:54am service from Worthing. Officers say the suspect boarded the train at West Worthing station, sat opposite the teenage victim, and sexually assaulted him during the journey.
Public Appeal for Information
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man pictured in the released CCTV image, who they believe could hold vital information to assist their investigation.
A spokesperson for BTP said:
“We take all reports of sexual offences extremely seriously. We are urging anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image to come forward as a matter of urgency.
