In a distressing turn of events, the home of Kamaljeet Mahey, who tragically lost her life in Wolverhampton last month, was targeted in a burglary on Park Meadow Avenue, Bilston. The incident occurred on December 23, just days after a man in his 30s was charged with her murder.

During the break-in at approximately 1am personal belongings such as jewellery, clothing, and a television were stolen from the residence. The police are actively pursuing leads through CCTV footage and forensic investigations, seeking vital information from the public to aid in solving this disturbing case.

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, leading the investigation, expressed the added anguish for Kamaljeet’s grieving family, now coping not only with her tragic death but also the loss of sentimental items that belonged to her. Mahon urged anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen property to come forward and assist in bringing closure to the affected family.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact the authorities through 101, or anonymously reach out to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111. When providing information, individuals are requested to quote the crime reference number 20/1110332/23.
