At around 8.30pm on Monday 1 July 2024 Kent Police received a report that people had been seen loading a digger onto the back of a van in Cobham Terrace.
A patrolling %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% responded to the call and having searched the local area found two men matching the same description in Denton Road, Dartford. The pair were seen by the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% the digger on the side of the road.
The %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% and spoke to the men. He also did a vehicle check on the van and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% in March.
Both men, aged 38 and 44 %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% area, were arrested on suspicion of theft in connection to the two vehicles.
Officers released the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% on bail until Friday 27 September, and the 44-year-old man was released on bail until Sunday 29 September.
