The family of a young mother-of-three has been left devastated after her sudden and unexplained death just days before Christmas.
Bethany Wooldridge, 27, was found collapsed at her home in Worfield, near Bridgnorth, on December 17. Her death remains unexplained, and an inquest has been opened and adjourned to investigate the circumstances.
Bethany, a former West Midlands Police officer, leaves behind her husband, Josh Wooldridge, and their three children: Alyssia, 10, Lylah, 7, and Tommy, 4.
Josh described the family as “heartbroken” and “devastated” by the loss.
A Life of Dedication
Known affectionately as “Bee” to her friends, Bethany had recently fulfilled her dream of moving to her “dream place” with her family. She had left her role with West Midlands Police in January and had also worked as a call handler for West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Her sister, Tory, shared a touching tribute, saying:
“Beth was the absolute best thing in our lives and we all absolutely adored her. Her loving, caring, thoughtful nature will never be forgotten.
She was so fierce when it came to her children and husband, and would protect those she loved the most more than anything. She had such a beautiful soul, and we were all so proud of her.”
Community Support
In Bethany’s memory, her family has launched a crowdfunding appeal on GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses and to support her husband and children during this challenging time. The campaign has already raised over £2,500 from 148 donations.
Tory wrote on the fundraising page:
“As a family, we are broken and will continue Beth’s memory forever. Words will never describe the hole she has left in our hearts that can never be filled.”
She added that the funds would go toward funeral costs and to help Bethany’s family navigate this life-changing loss.
A Heartfelt Legacy
Bethany’s death has shocked the community, with many offering words of support and condolences. Her dedication to her family and her work has left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
The family has requested privacy as they grieve and have asked anyone who wishes to support to contribute to the GoFundMe campaign in Bethany’s memory.
