Motorists are facing severe delays of up to 90 minutes on the M25 clockwise in Essex following a multiple vehicle collision between Junction 26 (Waltham Abbey) and Junction 27 (M11).

Traffic is currently queuing for approximately 7 miles, stretching back to Junction 25 for Waltham Cross. Emergency services are on the scene, and Traffic Officers, along with contractors, are working to assist with recovery and clean-up efforts.

Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance, allowing for extra travel time, and to consider alternative routes if possible to avoid further delays.

For up-to-the-minute information on traffic conditions, visit the National Highways website at www.trafficengland.com, check the regional X (Twitter) feed, or contact the 24/7 National Highways contact centre at 0300 123 5000.
