Police have launched an investigation after three men were injured during a stabbing incident in Lowell Street, Limehouse, early this morning.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to reports of a fight at around 12:03am on Saturday, 3 May.

Emergency services responded swiftly and found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital where doctors assessed his injuries as potentially life-changing.

A second man, aged 25, was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody.

A third man, also aged 25, sustained minor injuries which were treated at the scene. He too was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody.

A cordon was put in place near Commercial Road, with a crime scene remaining active for several hours while forensic teams worked at the location.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

Enquiries are ongoing.”

The stabbing is part of a concerning rise in knife-related violence reported across Inner London in recent days.
