Renault has announced a recall of five of its models due to a defect in the electronic parking brake system, which increases the risk of the vehicle rolling unexpectedly. This safety issue could potentially lead to accidents.
Affected Models
The models impacted by this recall include the Renault Austral, Captur, Megane E-Tech, Scenic E-Tech, and Rafale, all manufactured between April 2024 and January 2025. Nature of the Defect
The issue stems from an incorrectly angled position sensor within the parking brake actuator.
