A man in his 20s has been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision in Market Lavington.

Emergency services were called to the A360 at Church Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night (22 September) after a collision involving a car and a motorbike. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He has since been bailed while further enquiries are conducted.

The road remains closed at the B3098 junction of West Lavington and A360 Gore Cross as investigators continue their work at the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them by calling 101 and quoting log number 330 of September 22.
