A teenage girl was brutally sexually assaulted in Nuthurst Park, New Moston, in the early hours of Friday, 28 November 2025. Greater Manchester Police are urgently hunting the suspect and appealing for witnesses.
Attack Near Tram Stop Shocks Local Community
The victim met the attacker at Newton Heath and Moston tram stop around 1am. They then walked together to Nuthurst Park, where the horrific assault took place.
Suspect Description – Police Ask for Help

- From Failsworth area
Police say the suspect is from Failsworth and are urging anyone with information to step forward. The community is urged to stay vigilant.
“We understand this incident is deeply worrying for the local community. The protection of women and girls is a top priority for GMP,” said PC Suliat Gboshe of Manchester’s City division.
