British Transport Police (BTP) have released a CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to following the theft of a suitcase containing a significant amount of cash on board a Thameslink train from Sussex to London.
The incident occurred on Monday, 3 February 2025.
The victim boarded the Thameslink service at Three Bridges railway station around 7am, bringing with them a suitcase filled with cash. At approximately 9:30am, as the train arrived at St Pancras International station, a woman was seen picking up the suitcase and leaving the train.
Public Appeal
Investigators are appealing to the public to help identify the woman captured in the CCTV image. Officers believe she may have important information to assist with their ongoing enquiries.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said:
“If you recognise the woman in the image or have any information about the incident, please get in touch. Any detail, no matter how small, could be crucial.”
