A man has been rushed to the hospital after being shot on a busy road in South London late on Friday, 31 January 2025. Police are appealing to the public for assistance in finding the person responsible for the shooting.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30pm on Peckham Hill Street, with the victim suffering a gunshot wound. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening and are described as non-life-changing. Emergency services responded quickly, and the man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Southwark Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have called for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with relevant footage such as dashcam or mobile phone recordings, to come forward. The police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “We are investigating a shooting that took place on Peckham Hill Street at around 11:25pm last night. A man sustained a gunshot wound, but his injuries are non-life-changing. We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact us immediately.”
