Authorities in Shoreham are appealing for witnesses following a dog attack that occurred in Middle Road playing field on Wednesday morning. A woman and her pet were both injured during the incident, and police are seeking any information that could help with their investigation.
The attack took place between 10.00 and 10.30 BST when the woman was walking her dog in the area. Suddenly, a German Shepherd approached and bit her dog. The woman intervened, and the German Shepherd initially fled the scene. However, it soon returned, knocking the woman over and launching a second attack.
Fortunately, both the woman and her dog sustained only minor injuries during the ordeal. However, the incident has left them shaken and in need of assistance from potential witnesses.
The owner of the German Shepherd has been described as a white man in his 40s, with a large build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and glasses.
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could aid the investigation to come forward. Witnesses can contact the authorities online or by calling 101, quoting serial number 461 of 04/10.
