Police are on the hunt for Lucky Mahlalela, a man caught with a weapon and drugs at Brighton railway station after he failed to appear in court for sentencing.

Mahlalela, 21, was due to be sentenced at Brighton Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 25, following charges of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug stemming from an incident on July 28, 2023.

Despite extensive efforts, British Transport Police (BTP) have been unable to locate Mahlalela, who has known links to Crawley.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mahlalela is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 306 of 28/07/23. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
