Two men have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a violent incident aboard a Route 169 bus in Redbridge. The incident occurred on Monday, June 24, when a 19-year-old man was found injured.
Arrests and Charges:
• Abass Kamara (20), a resident of Stonebridge, NW10, has been charged not only with causing grievous bodily harm but also with possession of an offensive weapon and cannabis.
• Emmanuel Kabengele (18), from Knotts Green, Leyton, E10, faces charges related to possession of an offensive weapon.
Both men were arrested on July 3, following information received after a media appeal on June 26. Abass Kamara appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on July 4 and has been remanded to appear at Harrow Crown Court on August 1. Emmanuel Kabengele is scheduled to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 5.
