Three of the children were rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery to remove air rifle pellets from their bodies. A 62-year-old woman was also injured during the shooting.

South Yorkshire Police have arrested five individuals in connection with the attack. The suspects include a 15-year-old girl, two boys aged 15 and 16, and two 18-year-old men. They have all been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). All five suspects have since been released on bail pending further investigations.
