Fatal Bexley Crash: Man Dead, Woman Critical After Car Hits Fence – Police Seek Witnesses

A 70-year-old man has died and a 67-year-old woman is in critical condition following a serious road traffic collision in Bexley on Saturday night.

The crash occurred around 11:00pm on 21 June when a car left the road and struck a fence at the junction of Hurst Road and Glenhurst Avenue.

Tragic Outcome

Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, responded to the scene. The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been notified.

The female passenger was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries and remains in a critical condition.

Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage

Detective Sergeant Rob Harris, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, issued an appeal for information:

“As our enquiries continue, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
Did you witness the collision? Do you have dash cam or mobile footage of the incident or events leading up to it? Please get in touch.”
