As of this morning, there were <a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.<a href=”https:///www.uknip.co.Moremore than 500 reports, with 81% citing tracking problems. Many users said they were repeatedly receiving an “internal server error” when trying to check the status of deliveries.
One Downdetector user wrote: “Says internal server error when I try tracking my parcel idk why.” Another added: “‘Internal server error’ every time I try tracking my parcel.”
On X (formerly Twitter), customer Alison Billing asked:
“@RoyalMailHelp is there a problem with the UK tracking service at the moment? I was expecting a Special Delivery item to arrive before 1pm today. It was incorrectly routed but there was no change to status after ~5:30am and now I get an error message when I try to track it?”
What does an ‘internal server error’ mean?
According to tech site Ask Leo, an internal server error is a failure on the web server that prevents it from processing a user’s request. The site explained:
“Think of it like the web’s version of a blue screen. Something went so wrong on the server that it couldn’t even tell you what the problem was.”

It detects problems when the number of reports for a service is significantly above the usual baseline.
Royal Mail has been approached for comment.
